FIK 100 successful flight at RSA

Posted by on May 10, 2008

I finally had a successful flight of the FIK 100 at Rancho San Antonio Park. With a APC 8×6 Slow Fly prop and proper trim of the elevator, the FIK 100 is a very stable flyer. It was fun trying to fly it back against the wind. I was applying down elevator and tacking against the wind. I also took the FIK up high and cut the motor. The FIK had enough weight to penetrate without any power, and I guided it down without any power. I was surprised I was the only flyer out there at 6:45 PM last night, but it was nice to have the flight field all to myself.
