Nike Air Zoom Vapor Plus

Posted by on August 29, 2005

I ran in the Air Zoom Vapor Plus yesterday for the first time, and I liked the feel of the Caged Air Zoom cushioning in the heel. I was a little concerned since I’ve always like the ride of the full length air cushioning in the Nike Air Skylon, and the cushioning of the Air Zoom Vapor Plus didn’t look as thick or soft. Although the Air Zoom Vapor Plus has a more responsive, not as soft ride as the Skylon, it still provides enough cushioning for me for running on a hard asphalt surface. The lightness, responsiveness and lower profile of the midsole also make the Air Zoom Vapor Plus a much faster shoe than the Skylon. I think the Air Zoom Vapor Plus is a great shoe for someone who’s been running in the Skylon who’s looking for a lightweight, cushioned shoe that doesn’t have too much motion control. I look forward to using the shoe on the local trails at Rancho San Antonio.
