Birthplace of Silicon Valley in shambles | The Register

I’ve driven past this building many times, but I never realized it was the home of Shockley Labs. My office used to be a short walk to 844 E. Charleston which is only a few miles away right off San Antonio. This address is significant because it was the site of Fairchild Semiconductor where Robert Noyce created the first integrated chip that was ready for commercial production.
