I have a 40 Gb, 2×250 Gb, and recently added a 400 Gb drive to my Beyond TV / Beyond Media machine, and I thought I had a lot of hard drive space! It’s interesting to see that Beyond TV can take advantage of multiple processor cores and hyperthreading for simultaneous Smart Squeeze and Smart Skip processing. I think I’ll stripe my 2×250 Gb drives for easy access to 500 Gb since Beyond TV only writes to one folder at a time. One virtual drive will be a lot easier to deal with than two drives. My concern right now is the heat generated by 4 drives.
