But Bikram Choudhury, the millionaire founder of Bikram Yoga, believes his kind of yoga belongs to him — he has even copyrighted it. Now, he has sued Yoga to the People for copyright infringement, seeking monetary damages and asking a federal judge to block Yoga to the People from offering its hot yoga class.
“We sent an investigator to take the classes,” Robert Gilchrest, Mr. Choudhury’s lawyer, said on Thursday. “The classes were virtually mirror images and the dialogue was consistently the same.”
Despite yoga’s long history, Mr. Gilchrest said that Mr. Choudhury had the right to claim his own 26-posture sequence and the instructor’s dialogue.

Yes, it does sound silly, but the lawyers and yoga masters will figure it out. Personally, I’d rather be outside if I’m going to work out and sweat.

To meet aerobic goals, a 5-foot-6-inch, 150-pound ninth-grade boy must run a mile within nine minutes, do at least 16 push-ups and 24 sit-ups. In the past, the state has divided results into two categories: reaching the “healthy fitness zone” or not reaching it.

I’m glad that at the age of 45 I can still easily meet the fitness goals of a high school freshman. What’s scary is how only 36.8% of California high school freshman meet the goals. What a ticking time bomb for the U.S. healthcare system.

With the hordes of paparazzi, TMZ, People, and The National Enquirer, there’s no way someone like Judy Lewis could be kept a secret today. It’s crazy to me the subterfuge Loretta Young went through to hide a pregnancy and then to put her daughter in an orphanage for 19 months before “adopting” her. It’s funny how much Judy Lewis resembled her father more than her mother.
