Is Peyton Manning the Mercedes SLR McLaren to Alex Smith the Mercedes SLK?
The 49ers are taking a serious look at Peyton Manning. Alex Smith is a free agent this year and he’s expressed a desire to stay with the 49ers, but if the 49ers take Manning, there probably won’t be room for Smith on the team. I feel bad for Alex Smith. He’s like a Mercedes SLK that did a great job last year (you could say he had an AMG performance last year), but now the team has a chance to get an older model Mercedes SLR McLaren.

Fortune magazine, what is a “nube”?
In the March 12, 2012 issue of Fortune, there’s a cover story on Facebook. It’s a good overview of the company although much of it will be familiar to those who’ve been following company. I mention the article since they must have copy editors who lack any online gaming experience. They’re all probably a bunch of noobs.

Wes Anderson’s Hyundai Ad
I’m 45 and I get the Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang, Herbie (I thought of the Spy Who Loved Me first), and Speed Racer references in this ad. I wonder how many 30- and 20-somethings will get it, let alone teenagers. If only 1/10th of my life was as quirky as a Wes Anderson movie
